What's inside

Everything a 3D-printing artist needs in one app — from FDM and resin prints to ceramic LDM pieces — designed around how makers actually think about a piece.

Profile editor

Drag the silhouette of your vase in real time. Smooth or polygon, 2D editor or directly on the 3D view.

Cross-section editor

Top-down ring editor with Half / Quarter / Windmill / Free symmetry modes. Multiple draw modes per layer.

Lofting between layers

Add unlimited cross-sections at any height, blend between them for complex shapes a single profile can't reach.

🧠

Intelligent modelling

Drop in a reference image — the silhouette is traced and turned into a revolution profile in seconds.

Surface textures & effects

Programmatic 1D and 2D pattern engine. Sine, fluted, semi-circle, cones, spikes — dozens of preset patterns built in.

Pattern graph editor

Wire your own 2D textures from primitive nodes — noise, distortion, combinators, threshold. Save and share custom patterns as JSON.

Build-plate aware

Bambu Lab, Prusa, Elegoo, Eazao M-series, WASP, custom. Fits-on-plate check before you print.

STL & OBJ export

Print-ready meshes at your chosen quality. Open project format (.t3d / .clay / JSON) for backups and sharing.

🌍

4 languages out of the box

English, Spanish, French, German. Switch live without restart.

Experimental

Optional features still in active development. Enable them in Settings → Experimental — they work today, may evolve in future releases.

🏺

Pottery wheel mode

The wheel spins; click to spray, push, pull, widen, narrow, smooth. Real-time sculpt with full undo and a clear-all reset.

Printer path simulation

Layer-by-layer extrusion preview that walks through the print like the printer will. Spot collisions, overhangs, and gaps before you commit a slug of clay.

Try it before you buy

Full editing experience in your browser. No download, no account, no upload. Your design stays on your machine.

Launch the browser demo →

Works in any modern Chromium browser (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera) — file save / open and STL export are limited to the desktop apps.

Browser demo

Windows ships at launch. macOS and Linux builds are in development and will roll out as cross-platform validation completes.

DigitalClay3D

The complete 3D-printing studio

Native Windows app at launch with macOS / Linux in development, plus a browser demo. Built for FDM, resin, and ceramic LDM printers. Offline-first, multi-vendor printer support, one-time $249, open project format, 4-language UI.

Clayon

Fastest start, zero friction

Open a browser, drag a profile, get an STL. Free. Best for quick one-offs when you don't need to save or target a specific printer.

Potterware

Deep parametric history

Longest feature history with advanced pattern controls. Subscription model means predictable updates. Best as a studio's primary tool.

WASP App

Perfect WASP companion

Free, official, tuned for WASP Delta clay printers. Zero-friction defaults matched to WASP hardware. Locked to that ecosystem.

Rhino 3D

The generalist's hub

General-purpose CAD for furniture, jewellery, architecture, and ceramics. Grasshopper plugins add parametric pottery on top.

Bambu Lab Make My Vase

The Bambu fast-path

Free, browser-based parametric vase generator from Bambu's MakerLab. Drop a profile, drag a few sliders, get an STL ready for Bambu Studio. Best when you own a Bambu printer and want a printable vase in 60 seconds without learning a CAD tool.

Frequently asked

Will it run on my machine?

Today: Windows 10 or later (the v1 desktop release). Coming soon: macOS 12+ and Linux x64 builds are in development and will land as we finish per-platform validation. The browser demo works in any modern Chromium browser (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera) right now. No GPU requirement beyond what your operating system already needs.

Can I print on any printer?

Yes. The app exports STL and OBJ at the resolution you choose. Built-in build-plate presets cover Bambu Lab (X1, P1, A1, H2D, H2), Prusa (MK4, XL, MINI+), Elegoo, Eazao M500/M600/M700, WASP, and a fully-custom option.

Can I try it before buying?

Yes — the full editor runs in your browser at the browser demo. Every modelling and texturing feature is unlocked. The desktop apps add file save / open and STL export, which unlock once you import the license file emailed after purchase.

What's a license file?

A small .lic file emailed to you within seconds of purchase. Drop it into the Settings dialog (or double-click it) and the app activates instantly. It works offline forever — no phone-home, no account, no subscription server to depend on.

Can I move my license between machines?

Yes. Click "Deactivate" on the old machine, then import the same .lic on the new machine. No support ticket required.

Does the browser demo save my work?

The demo is for prototyping — it intentionally has no file save / open or STL export. Anything you design lives in the browser tab until you close it. The desktop apps have full file IO.

Can I get a refund?

Yes — within 30 days of purchase, no questions asked. Email support and we'll process the refund through Lemon Squeezy.
